Depicts Eileen Mayo who at the time was one of a number of models the artist used in Cornwall. The artist included this model in several pictures that includes for example Blue and Gold; The Golden Girl; The Study for the Golden Girl aka The Toilet; Dressing for the Ballet and Portrait – Eileen Mayo.
Eileen went on to become a well known artist having studied at the Slade School London, exhibiting at The Royal Academy and The Royal Society of British Artists.
